About Segun Akiode

Segun Akiode is a naïve of Abeokuta in Ogun State. He was born and breed in Lagos. He graduated with a Second Class (Upper) degree in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in Nigeria’s Osun State. Also, he is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN).

At the moment he works as an Human Resources Consultant. He started his HR Consulting career with Human Edge Limited, a human resources consulting and staffing services firm based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Segun’s quest for writing found expression in his column tagged ‘Nuggets for Nobles’ in Atmosphere for Success Magazine (AOS!). AOS is a youth magazine published in Lagos by BEC International (Babs Educational Consults). He has been writing the column since 2003. That same quest has birthed this blog you are reading at the moment.

Segun has other interest in manpower development, public speaking and event management. He is committed to personal development and making impact in his generation. He desires to die empty with his footprint on the sand of history.

This is Segun’s first foray into the world of internet blogging, many more to come. Watch out, as Segun believes that he is a work in progress in the Hands of the maker. Happy reading.

I am completely new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal on a daily basis. I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my own experience and feelings online.     • I must say it takes a lot of time and discipline to keep a blog running. The most important thing to note is: what do you want to write about and how frequently do you want to write? Once this is answered then other things can follow. All the best!
